Tax Law in Switzerland

Our Tax lawyers have decades of experience advising clients on all aspects of local and international tax law, from tax planning and business structuring to litigation and transfer pricing.

We advise clients on international, federal, cantonal and municipal taxes, as well as direct and indirect taxation, stamp duties, withholding taxes and VAT. Our Tax lawyers can take the lead in tax planning and structuring of foreign and domestic companies, partnerships, syndications, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and capital expansion programs for our corporate, financial and other business clients.

We represent clients in tax litigation and advise multinational companies on transfer pricing. We also prepare shareholder agreements, employment contracts and buy-sell agreements, as well as estate and business succession plans.

We work closely with other Baker & McKenzie Tax lawyers to provide practical, innovative advice on global tax planning and transactions in both developed and emerging markets.

In a bid to improve the international appeal and competitiveness of UK onshore funds, the UK Government will introduce in 2012 a special new fund regime.
We discuss what businesses should consider in claiming tax-exempt status for export goods under new legislation passed by the German Bundesrat (Federal Counsel).
