Sergei Voitishkin heads the Russia Corporate/M&A Practice Group of Baker & McKenzie. He regularly participates in various conferences and seminars, and was a speaker at the Russia Foreign Investment Law Conference in November 2008. Mr. Voitishkin graduated from the Law Department of Moscow State University and holds a degree in linguistics from the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages.

He has served as a lead attorney on several multimillion mergers and acquisitions in Russia and has advised major multinational and Russian clients on structuring acquisitions and corporate reorganizations in various industries.

- Advising West Siberian Resources Ltd, а Bermuda incorporated independent oil company listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm, on its merger with Alliance Oil. The combined market capitalization of the companies amounted to approximately USD2.25 billion.
- Advising KBC Group on its acquisition of Absolut Bank in a deal valued USD1 billion.
- Advising Territorial Generating Company No.5 and Territorial Generating Company No. 9 on a dual-track placement of shares to strategic investors and a public offering (IPO).
