Seishi Ikeda has been a partner in the Firm’s Tokyo office since 2004 and has more than fifteen years of legal experience handling investment banks, listed companies and funds in the areas of banking and finance and capital markets. He has participated in several seminars related to his field and periodically holds study sessions at securities companies. Mr. Ikeda has also co-authored several publications, including the M&A Handbook on Conducting Business Practically. He practiced with Aoki & Partners in 1999, Sidley Austin Brown & Wood in New York from 2000 to 2001 and Linklaters in London in 2001.
Mr. Ikeda’s practice covers shares, preferred shares and convertible bonds issuance and offering transactions, both at the domestic and international level. He has handled Euro CB offerings, domestic listing matters and IPO by Japanese companies, including global offerings and samurai bond offerings. Mr. Ikeda is experienced in handling M&A deals, real estate securitization, non-recourse loan, derivatives, trust-related deals and regular corporate work, as well as compliance issues, including insider and regulatory matters. In addition, Mr. Ikeda is skilled in handling securities-related litigation matters and various disclosure and compliance issues involving listed companies and their directors.

- Advised various clients on domestic IPOs, global offerings, issuance of Samurai bonds by foreign investment banks, real estate finance and securitization of various types of real estate using a TMK structure and trust scheme, TOB finance, cross-border M&A and large securities-related litigations.
