Scott Palmer is a partner in the Firm’s Intellectual Property Group, and based in the Beijing office, where he works mostly on intellectual property law matters. He has authored and co-authored a number of key articles and publications on China IP law, and is also a regular presenter on IP-related matters to legal and professional groups, including INTA and AsiaLaw. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Chamber of Commerce in Beijing and the Copyright Society of the USA. Mr. Palmer is listed as a leading IP lawyer by Chambers Asia Pacific and World Trademark Review 1000.
Practice Focus
Mr. Palmer manages PRC IP portfolios for numerous multinational companies, and advises complex IP litigation in the PRC, as well as on trademark/copyright registration and enforcement strategy. He handles anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy activities for a range of multinational clients in the PRC. He advises on matters involving IP licensing, trade secrets, and general IP registration and maintenance issues. Mr. Palmer also counsels on international IP registration and enforcement strategy, as well as product quality, product registration, cosmetics and food/health food regulatory matters in the PRC.

- Manages product registration/approval portfolios for multinational companies in the cosmetics and food/health food industries.
