Poh Lee Tan serves as managing partner of the Firm's Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Vietnam offices. Poh Lee has held a number of significant Firm management roles, including being a member of the Firm’s Global Executive Committee and also served as the Chairman of the Firm’s Asia Pacific Regional Council. She has been consistently named a leading lawyer in Hong Kong by various legal directories — including Chambers Global, Asia Pacific Legal 500 Directory, PLC Which Lawyer? and Chambers Asia. She is admitted to practice in England and Wales, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, as well as in other jurisdictions.
Practice Focus
Ms. Tan focuses on M&A and PE transactions in the Asia-Pacific region, with particular emphasis on the TMT sector. She has advised and structured transactions in various countries in the region, including Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, England and Korea. Ms. Tan is also highly experienced in representing foreign companies seeking to invest in Asia, particularly in Hong Kong and China.

- Acting for a PRC company in an acquisition of the manufacturing assets, intellectual property and R&D capability from a UK based seller including the establishment of a joint venture in the PRC, with a total investment of over USD2 billion.
- Acting for a US listed company in the purchase of an interest in a joint venture in the PRC in the technology sector.
- Acting for an Indian conglomerate in an acquisition of interests in the steel industry in China.
