Ms. Liu’s practice is focused on foreign investment. She advises foreign investors on equity restrictions, investment structures, joint ventures, divestitures, and mergers and acquisitions.

Representative Legal Matters

• Act as counsel to the foreign shareholder in the consortium that was awarded the 25-year concession for a bid amount of USD3.95 Billion to operate the Philippine electricity transmission system.
• Advise a fast-growing business process outsourcing organization projected to be among the 10 biggest BPOs globally on the establishment of a 3,000 seat Philippine contact center.
• Act as counsel for a German manufacturer of POS and ATM machines in its business entry to the Philippines.
• Advise Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts Pte. Ltd., a leading manager and developer of premium resorts, hotels and spas around the world, on the legal structure for the entity that will acquire an island for its proposed resort development in the Philippines and assist in the structure implementation.
• Advise a leading Singapore-based international serviced residence company with operations in Asia-Pacific, North Asia, Europe and Australasia on its management agreements with a pool of unit owners in a development structured as a condominium corporation.
