Paul Melling is an English solicitor and the founding partner of Baker & McKenzie’s Moscow and Almaty offices. He joined the Firm’s London office in 1980 as a member of the East-West Trade Department, focusing on the COMECON countries of Eastern Europe, particularly the USSR. He took up residence in Moscow in January 1989 and has spent over 20 years as a partner in the CIS. In 2009, Mr. Melling received the Distinguished Service Award from AIPM for "Outstanding Contribution to the Development of the Russian Pharmaceuticals Market.” He now divides his time between Moscow and London, and his practice remains focused on Russia, CIS and other emerging markets.
