Patrick Fair is a partner in the Sydney office of Baker & McKenzie where he advises on information technology and telecommunications law. He is recognised for his extensive experience in privacy law, online content regulation, telecommunications regulation and broadcasting law. Patrick is the leader of the Firm's NBN working group.

Patrick's practice focuses on information technology and telecommunications advisory work. He has extensive experience in the conduct of due diligence investigations and negotiating transition services agreements for telecommunications and technology-related company and asset acquisitions.
Representative Legal Matters
- Negotiating capital city agreements for the installation of digital multiplexers and transmitters and the purchase of transmission facilities services for the launch of commercial digital radio in Australia.
- Representing a major carrier in negotiations with the Commonwealth Government in relation to funding for the design, construction and operation of a broadband network planned to comprise over 1300 WiMax installations and 300 DSLAMs spread throughout Australia.
- Undertaking regulatory due diligence and advising on regulatory issues relevant to the purchase a major Australian television broadcaster.
- Acting for a major transmission facilities provider in the preparation of a facilities access agreement including advising in relation to site access rules.
