Our IT & Communications Practice Group is a team of dedicated lawyers within the IP and IT & Communications practices who work closely with lawyers in the Corporate Commercial Litigation & Arbitration, Commercial Regulatory & Trade and Banking & Finance practice groups.
Our core team is composed of lawyers who have legal knowledge in all technology and communications matters, including software, hardware, maintenance, e-commerce and privacy-related matters. We provide legal advice when new developments in technology create the need to reinvent or simply interpret existing legal frameworks. Combining these fields of experience enables us to provide our clients with a full service offering.
We have broad experience in advising our clients on a wide range of legal issues involving communications and technology law, negotiating and drafting complex agreements, assisting with corporate acquisitions and representing our clients before civil courts and in arbitration proceedings, in failed communications and technology projects and in connection with the IP aspects of information technology. Two of our focus areas include the provision of advice and assistance in projects involving the convergence between information technology/communications and other industries, particularly telecommunications, and managing complex international outsourcing projects.
We advise and represent global software suppliers, multinational equipment manufacturers, providers of e-commerce related services, personal data controllers and large end-user customers.
