Lukasz Karpiesiuk practices mainly in the area of tax law in the Firm’s Warsaw office. He routinely handles VAT issues affecting the manufacturing and financial sectors. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie in 2004, he worked in the tax consultancy department of Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Mr. Karpiesiuk has also authored several articles on numerous taxation issues, including a commentary to the VAT directive.
Practice Focus
Mr. Karpiesiuk advises clients on VAT and tax breaks available in special economic zones and state aid. He also helps investors gain ground in special economic zones and obtain direct investment grants. Mr. Karpiesiuk also advises clients in the production industry on VAT regulations, and assists foreign businesses in obtaining investment support for major direct investments in computer manufacturing and food processing facilities.
