Lisa Stam is member of the Labour, Employment and Employee Benefits Law group at Baker & McKenzie's Toronto office. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie, Ms. Stam worked in private practice with a boutique firm specializing in pension, employment and labour law. She is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and President of the Canadian Netherlands Business and Professionals Association. Ms. Stam has appeared at various levels of court and tribunals, including before the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal.
Practice Focus
Ms. Stam focuses on employment and administrative law litigation, and provides domestic and international employment advice. She participates in drafting offer letters and employment contracts, workplace policies and handbooks, and advising on bonus and commission plans. Ms. Stam also handles matters related to workplace privacy issues, independent contractors, confidential and proprietary information — including discipline and terminations, reductions in force and other cost-cutting measures.
