Environment in Japan

In the field of environmental law/climate change, our group of highly experienced professionals works to help ensure environmental compliance and helps clients make decisions in line with their business objectives. We support clients in complying with domestic and international environmental laws and regulations and keep them updated on law and regulatory amendments that may impact their operations. We also conduct investigations concerning the system that needs to be in place, prepare relevant documentation and negotiate with other parties.

We identify and mitigate environmental regulatory issues that arise in the course of acquiring and selling companies, plants, properties or other assets in Japan as well as in various jurisdictions. We also provide advice and support on environmental disputes and represent clients in litigation. With our global resources, we are able to conduct due diligence and environmental evaluations on a worldwide basis through a single point of contact.
