Environment in Germany

Our team advises corporations as well as financial institutions and public entities. We provide comprehensive, high quality commercial advice on environmental law and policies at national, European Union and international levels. We assist clients in obtaining environmental approvals and advise on environmental impact assessments, site contaminations, and productspecific environmental regulation.

We have particular experience in the analysis of environmental risks related to corporate acquisitions, mergers and public offerings (environmental due diligence). We provide often strategic  advice in the traditional areas of environmental law as well as in the emerging fields of climate change (greenhouse gas emission) and renewable energy regulation in particular regard to new economic instruments such as Emissions Trading, Clean Development Mechanism and Joint Implementation (Kyoto mechanisms).

Our Environmental Group consists of lawyers with experience in all areas of environmental law including clean air and water legislation, waste management, soil protection, chemicals and hazardous materials.
