Geraldine Chin Moody is the Chief Operating Officer of Baker & McKenzie's Australian offices. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie as COO in 2007, Geraldine has had experience as a lawyer and senior executive adviser in leading professional services firms. She was also a member of the Group Executive Committee at the Australian Securities Exchange in her role as General Manager, People and Development.
Practice Focus
As Chief Operating Officer of Baker & McKenzie's Australian offices, Geraldine oversees all Shared Services functions, including Finance, Business Development and Marketing, Talent Management, Knowledge, Technology and Operations. She also works closely with the Management Committee on strategy development and implementation.
Geraldine is a Board member of the Refugee Advice and Casework Service and the Australian National Committee for UN Women. She is also President of the Australian Fulbright Alumni Association.
Geraldine won the 2008 Australian Institute of Management NSW/ACT Young Manager of the Year Award and the 2006 NSW Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year Award. She holds a Bachelor of Law (University Medal) and Bachelor of Science from the Australian National University and a Masters of Law from Harvard University where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar and Frank Knox Fellow.
