Private Equity in France

Our Paris private equity team covers the full range of private equity activity, from the funds formation and fund raising to the transactions by the funds (venture capital or LBOs) and the secondary transactions on the funds interests. We advise limited partners and general partners of private equity funds on all legal and tax issues in connection with their investments and operations, including negotiating fund terms and conditions as well as advising clients in funds-related disputes.

We work both on domestic deals and, with the firm’s Global and European private equity teams, on multi-jurisdictional transactions.

Exemptions to rules for strategic companies in Russia The amendments to Russia’s Strategic Companies Law raise the threshold to clear acquisitions, specify cases to which the Strategic Companies Law no longer applies, and identify activities that are no longer classified as strategic. These changes will enter into force 30 calendar days after the official publication.
