Our Private Banking Group is composed of lawyers who are dedicated to providing legal advice and litigation assistance in patrimonial matters. This includes the acquisition, holding, reorganization and transmission of personal and professional patrimony.

Our international private banking activities cover all aspects of patrimonial optimization strategies for individuals. In this area, we provide advice and assistance in litigation for both individuals and private banks. Our experience in French law covers the acquisition, ownership and transmission of an estate of which assets are located either in France, in France and abroad, or abroad exclusively. This local experience and knowledge of the practices and outlook of the French tax authorities enable us to provide advice and assistance in tax audits. When necessary, our experience enables us to provide quality support for the defense of taxpayers' interests during the pre-litigious and litigation phases within tax audits.

Governments worldwide search for a new balance in the taxation. This creates great challenges for companies. What these are and how companies can prepare and adapt to these, we have summarized in a white paper (in Dutch).
Recent news stories of settlement deals in some high profile corporate tax cases have led to criticism of the UK tax authorities, but the option to settle tax disputes rather than going to litigation is important for both sides and can lead to a sensible commercial outcome.
Recent OECD initiatives could increase the risk of a transfer pricing challenge to the intra-group arrangements of multinationals. Baker & McKenzie's Business Transformation Practice can advise on the tax, legal and commercial issues which these developments could pose for your business.
