Dr. Nikolaus Reinhuber began his legal career with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he held a global management position and served as an M&A and corporate partner. Dr. Reinhuber has likewise served as a member of the supervisory board of listed companies, which he advised on their IPOs. He currently co-leads the German Corporate Practice and sits on the Europe Private Equity Steering Committee. In addition to his practice, Dr. Reinhuber has published several articles and given numerous presentations on national and cross-border M&A issues, banking law matters and knowledge management.
Practice Focus
Dr. Reinhuber focuses his practice on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, as well as general company law and compliance matters. He acts for corporate and private equity clients across various industries, including automotive, pharmaceutical, technology, energy and infrastructure.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised KKR and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners in the acquisition of KION Group, the material handling division of Linde AG.
- Advised SBS Broadcasting (a Permira/KKR portfolio company) and KION on the implementation of international management equity programs.
- Advised Lafarge S.A. in the disposal of its roofing division to PAI Partners.
- Advised Lufthansa Cargo AG in the establishment of a joint venture for the creation of a new cargo/express airline with DHL/Deutsche Post.
- Advised TCI (The Children's Investment Fund) in connection with its participation in Deutsche Börse AG
- Advised Triton Partners in the disposal of RMG Regel + Messtechnik Group to Honeywell.
- Advised CQLT in the acquisition of SaarGummi Group, the largest Chinese investment in Germany to date.
