Christina Demetriades is a partner in the IT/Communications practice group in Baker & McKenzie's London office. Christina also jointly heads the Make a Difference committee. Christina focuses her practice on technology contracts, outsourcing, major renegotiations, commercial telecoms contracts, data protection and digital media issues. Christina co-authored a chapter in the PLC E-Commerce Manual on online contractual issues. Christina has a particular interest in non-contentious intellectual property matters, and is the editor of Intellectual Property in Commercial Transactions, published by Thomson in 2007.
Practice Focus
Christina has extensive experience in all aspects of technology related agreements, from software licences and maintenance contracts through development and implementation agreements to system integration agreements and technology outsourcing. Christina's practice includes advising on deals which are in difficulty and in renegotiating and reshaping deals where this is commercially possible. Christina has a broad-based practice - advising both customers and suppliers on domestic and multi-jurisdictional deals.
Industry sectors on which Christina has a particular focus include the telecommunications sector and the financial services industry.
