Bruce Hambrett is the Chairman of Baker & McKenzie, Australia and is the head of the Australian Insolvency & Restructuring group, as well as being a member of the Australian Dispute Resolution Group. He is listed among the Best Lawyers: Australia 2009 for insolvency and reorganisation and is recognised as being "strong intellectually and commercially" by Chambers Global 2009. Bruce is the founding chair of the Law Council's Business Law Section's Insolvency and Reconstruction Committee and a former chair and member of the Media and Communications Committee.

Bruce's practice focuses on insolvency and restructuring and commercial litigation, particularly in the areas of media and communications. - Advising senior Multiplex executives in relation to investigations by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission into disclosure issues arising out of the Wembley Stadium Project
- Advising key stakeholders including administrators of a number of major insolvencies including Fincorp, Australian Capital Reserve, Bridgecorp Finance, Westpoint, Sons of Gwalia, Octaviar, and Griffin Coal amongst others.
