Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring in Australia

Baker & McKenzie's Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring Group has been involved in many of the largest insolvencies in Australia in recent times. Our involvement has included acting as lead advisers to insolvency specialists, banks, shareholders, debtors and potential purchasers. We also act as advisers on the sale of distressed assets, and, working with Baker & McKenzie's Banking & Finance practice help our clients in restructuring financial provisions and finding practical solutions to financing problems.

To this end, we are considered experienced advisers in the restructuring space, and are recognised for our innovative approach and pursuit of commercial outcomes. This experience has meant that we have had key roles in most of Australia's major insolvencies during the past 20 years.

With a powerful global platform of restructuring and insolvency lawyers, we are well placed to act in complex, cross-border insolvency issues that have arisen in the global financial crisis.
