Russian Strategic Companies to Get New Exemptions

The Strategic Companies Law has now been supplemented by a set of amendments (hereinafter the "Amendments"), which were officially published in Russia on 21 November 2011. The Amendments provide certain exemptions to the application of the rules that relate to strategic companies. While they do not go as far as anticipated, they are still intended to relax the rules and facilitate certain transactions.
